I have been a freelance journalist since 1989, contributing reporting, profiles, Op-Ed, and light-hearted service journalism to both print and online venues. I have a primary interest in health, with an ability to take complex medical information and develop consumer-friendly stories. Far-flung topics I've covered include pilates for golfers, reproductive cancers, and the intersection of genetics and intellectual property, among other subjects. Another concentration is entertainment: I have written over 200 articles, profiling musicians, comedians and actors for television and film. A few publications for which I have written: New York Sun, Bergen Record, The Forward, Village Voice, Time Out New York, MAMM, the Star-Ledger and the Courier News.
